My goal is to change your Sunday afternoon listening habit one song at a time
My goal is to broadcast a "LIVE" program to my listeners that is recognizable but different at the same time in musical content. We will have special segments that feature "The Same Song but Different Artist", "Fallen Artist",
New Music & Old Music" we will also chase an Echo in a effort to shake a memory or two from the "Golden Era of Doo-Wop and Group Harmony Vocal Groups"
plus on occasions discuss our Beach & Shag Music lifestyles. You will hear music from a number of different sources on Johnny's Jukebox digital computer tracks, 45's, 78's, & 331/3 records played on my turntables, tracks from mini disk, Cd's and even cassettes.
I'm truly living a dream being a Mobile, Club, Event and Host Dj on my own radio show. Little did I realize back in 1961 when I loaded up my record player and my small collection of 78's 45's and 331/3 records and spun the tunes for a 4H Club Dance Party onboard The "Jamestown Ferry" Boat crossing the James River in Historical Virginia that I would be where I am today. After a dual career in the Military and Civilian life, marring the best Girl on face of the earth in my opinion, raising two great Sons and now watching a beautiful Granddaughter capture my heart I realize just how much God has blessed this Ol' Country Boy.
Because my wife and I are Snowbirds from January to Spring SOS my shows are broadcasted "LIVE" from The Sunshine Studio of Riptide Radio.com in Central Florida. When Spring SOS rolls around in late April we jump up to North Myrtle Beach, S.C. the home of Beach & Shag Music. After Spring SOS we make our way back to our home in Virginia where we broadcast from The Commonwealth Studio of Riptide Radio.com. making occasional trips to events, parties and playing music for Shag Clubs. I am a member of the Franklin, Va Shag Club, Richmond Shag Club, Member of the ABSCDJs and served as VP/Tres of The National Assn of R&B Djs.
